Tavi ("we", "our") is a pet-health tracking app for dogs and cats. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Tavi is offline-first: your data lives on your device by default, and cloud features are optional.
AI insights, the symptom checker, breed guidance and document scanning are processed by Anthropic's Claude via our secure server function. We send only the pet-health context needed (e.g. species, age, weights, the text/photo you submit) — never your name, email or device identifiers. AI output is informational only and is not veterinary advice.
We rely on: Railway (application hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database), Amazon Web Services (S3) (file storage), Anthropic (AI processing), Google Sign-In (optional login), and the Apple App Store / Google Play (purchases). Each processes data under its own terms.
Premium subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive or store your payment-card details.
Local data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you use cloud sync, you can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time — see Delete your account. Deleting your account removes your pets, records, files and profile from our backend.
You can access, export (PDF/JSON), correct, or delete your data from within the app. For any request, contact us below.
Tavi is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We'll update this page and the "last updated" date when this policy changes.
